Munchen Haus – Leavenworth

Every summer for some reason I always head to Leavenworth. It’s a small and lively village that mimics the illusion of Bavaria.  The name Bavaria is actually a German town that is  located in the southeast part of Germany.  A great scenic drive once you get past Snoqualmie on I-90E.  I have a couple restaurants that I always check out, but my FAVorite for great Bratwurst and German beer is the Munchen Haus Bavarian Grill and Beer Garden.  Their sausages are chairboiled and very tasty!  I had the Jahr’s Cajun Sausage with spicy brown mustard.  Smoky flavored, juicy and spicy!

Munchen Haus has other tasty chairboiled wurst’s that I have tried…Han’s Jalapeno and Cheddar sausage, Curt’s Currywurst are all really good.  They have about 12 different types of mustards…I always like to try a couple different ones and put it on each side of the sausage.  Can’t leave without trying a great and refreshing German beer…I had the Hofbrau Munchen..light and crisp golden beer that is brewed following high standards of the Bavarian Purity Law using hops from the Hallertau region of Munich.

Munchen Haus is a great place to have quality German beer and charboiled sausages on a nice sunny day!  I definitely recommend driving Hwy2 over I-90E.  Both drives are part of the WA state scenic loop byway, but the North Cascades scenic byway is awesome by far!
